The Phantom 4 Pro is DJI’s latest high-end drone packed with intelligent premium features and functionality. Apparently, it is hailed as “the iPhone of Drones” due to its premium design and solid- build quality. DJI keeps their consumers on the loop because they release new models on schedule. For every new release, they keep on surprising their consumers by doing major improvements on the newer models.
FEATURES & SPECS
The pro was the evolution of Phantom 4 as it scores itself with small yet major improvement that makes it highly considerable. Most of Phantom 4’s features, components, and design attributes were integrated to the pro model. Other components were upgraded; they even added new features that make the drone worthy to be called as “pro.”
The first major feature that they add is the 5-direction obstacle collision avoidance system. The designers of the drone installed sensors on the drone’s front, both sides, and underside. Unlike the Phantom 4, it only has the forward facing collision detection/avoidance system. The Pro’s new and improved avoidance/detection system automatically scan the environment around the drone then avoid any obstacles that may collide with the drone during flight. It can fly up as fast as 31 mph with its obstacle avoidance system still in play to ensure safety while flying. However, once it reaches the 40 mph- mark in Sport mode, the avoidance system shuts off.
The Pro looks like a little similar with its predecessor, the Phantom 4.
Another major improvement that was integrated in the drone’s specs is the Pro’s camera. It was packed with a camera that has a 1-inch image sensor which is four times bigger compared to the P4.
One of the new selling points of Phantom pro 4 is, its autonomous flying where you can direct it to go into a certain direction without altering its altitude. You can simply draw a line on your remote control screen and your drone will follow the direction of the line for easier control. Also, its ‘follow’ feature allows the drone to recognize cars, people, bikes and other objects and follow them to capture moving subjects for your videos. Moreover, it can go home by itself by choosing the best possible way to efficiently use power to avoid any dangers while flying.
If you choose to opt for The Phantom 4 Pro+, you’ll get a remote control with a built- in 5.5 inch screen display in 1080p. It’ll be easier to monitor your drone as this screen display is far brighter than your smartphone screen. The DJI Go app is also optimized to decrease lag and video delay in real- time video feed. Its remote controller uses the same LightBridge technology which can give connectivity up to the range of 4.3 miles. It also boasts a five hours of battery power before needing a recharge and a “Return to Home” button for easy control.
